[VoIP] Asterisk on Linksys router

I decided to attempt to get Openwrt and Asterisk
loaded on a Linksys WRTSL54GS router ( 266 MHZ
processer, 32M flash and 1 USB port) in the hopes that
I can come up with an "appliance" approach for CNET
wanna-be's who don't want to be bothered with a
computer. This router cost ~$105 and for another
~$60, an analog interface can be added. The Linksys
would continue to provide DSL/cable-modem
router/port-forwarding/firewall functions and may be
an attractive option. I'm trying to produce a fairly
detailed HowTo document and am thinking that the
customizations needed to give an individual system
it's "personality" could be placed on a USB jump
drive. BTW, I just bought a 3-pack of 1G drives for
$39.95.

I successfully got OpenWRT loaded these evening but
then proceeded to brick the device :-(. I should be
able to get it back but that will have to wait until
tomorrow.

Is anyone else working on this? I'd like to leverage
as much previous effort as possible (and there is a
lot out there) but am interested in seeing if anyone
else is doing this on CNET.

Thanks!

John
