Just a note to say that I now have my Adtran T1 up and running via a 
Varion Tormenta3 T1 card.

I have an FXS port configured for ground start (calling out from my 
switch and ringing into my 608 cord board), and an FXO for DID into my 
step switch.

Preliminary testing (with John Novack's help) seems to indicate that the 
echo problems I was seeing with the TDM400 card are greatly reduced.

Now once I get my newest rack set up, I can add a couple of ports to my 
switch. I will also have a couple of 'direct from asterisk' lines to my 
other cordboards.
