[VoIP] Need some help on the basics

Hi!

I'm a new member. I have a dedicated Asterisk system
set up at home and would like to get it connected to
the network. I've reserved an office code. However, I
am using a DSL provider that assigns a dynamic IP
address. I'm using NAT through a firewall.

Do I need to provide a DNS service and client on my
Linux box to update the DNS information, or will the
IAX protocol take care of that for me when it
registers. I noticed that to register the office code
I have reserved, the activation form requires a host
name.

Would I need to modify my firewall settings to allow
incoming traffic to my Asterisk box?
