Simply go to dyndns.com and open a free account, then add host and 
remember your account name and password, as well as your host name
IF your router provides the facility, it will keep alive the account 
forever.
Dyndns requires the account to be "touched" every 35 days, or it will 
automatically go away
You can also add a daemon to your Asterisk box. How easy or hard that is 
depends on which flavor of Linux you chose.
CentOS 3 or 4 are probably the best, but I won't get into THAT religious 
argument here.

See above. All you need to provide is an incoming context in your 
IAX.conf, Let Greg know what your dyndns host name and incoming context 
are, and then set up your extensions.conf to accept them

Open port 4569 UDP to your Asterisk box.
