[VoIP] Speech recognition demo

John

Excellent - it will provide the answer to one of my old switches - a small
rural 100 switch produced by/for the British Post Office for rural areas. As
there were only a few other (less than a 100) auto systems in the UK, there
was only provision to dial other lines on your own switch - all other calls
went out via the operator at a 'parent' manual exchange.

I notice from http://voipinfo.org/wiki/view/Asterisk+cmd+ASR that there is
an 'English (UK)' version of the program which we may find accepts our
spoken digits a bit more reliably. I've tried and had about a 10% success
rate via John's 236 1111.

I notice that the program is also available for purchase at around US
$940.00 or £502.00 !! I'll wait for the alternative!

I might even wait for the welsh language version - it might struggle with
welsh placenames like
llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch (The longest
single word .com domain name !
http://llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch.co.uk/soundfiles/llandad4.wav
) .

Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch had a small
switch identical to above mentioned rural exchange!
