[VoIP] Status monitoring

Don,
I believe it was an attempt by Don to determine whose tandem was up and
running. In the opening pages on the site Greg set up it mentions some
common numbers. I believe Don was using the defined nxx-0002 ( or was it
nxx-0020) to provide the office milliwatt function. He would place
automated calls to each exchanmge to verify if they were up and able to
take calls.
I thought it was still running but don't remember hearing anything about it
of late or even early. ;-)

I had never heard of this. It sounds interesting.
I have a milliwatt test line, but it is accessible via
MF only. If this exists, I will define a regular
number for it.
What is the purpose of keeping such a record? Does it
show whose tandem is active? How often does it poll?
Is the information available on-line?
Thanks,
Don
