Sorry to post to this so late. But I think you said it for all. Anyone
should be able to be involved with whatever equipment they choose. Heck
didn't that other group the 311 have some members that calls were routed
out to their cell phones. No problem.
The important thing to me, and to others I hope, is that we manage to keep
this hostile freee. A safe haven where all are welcome to come listen
participate or lurk as the case may be. Where it is AOK to ask questions.
I have said it before and I'll say it again I think this group has done an
admirable job of acomplishing and maintaining that goal. I am proud to be
associated with the likes of all of you.
Just my two cents,
Dennis H.

You guys are entirely correct. I have re-worked the English version of
the web site, so that the adjectives used are "restored," "heritage,"
"legacy," and "historic." I also left out any adjective when there
wouldn't be confusion between the asterisk switch and the "older"
switch.
Truthfully, we've morphed into more than just switches trunking one to
the others. We have people who've amassed some cool sounds and other
recordings stored on their asterisk pbx. We have others who may own an
80s era key system or an individual rotary dial phone.
These people should all be reachable, with or without the big iron.
Or, at least, that seems to be the consensus. As such, it only makes
sense to re-work the website to reflect our larger mission.
Something for me to do during my down time.
