Yeah,

So how do we do that?  Otherwise, we're just sending
emails back and forth about what might happen. It
seems to me that we need/want to have a method to
characterize whether a solution, be it PIC, WS relay,
ATA, channel-bank or bubble-gum actually works well. 
Your point is valid.  Different products behave
differently.  How do we pick good ones?
