Just catching up on a couple of things:

>I also have a Cisco ATA that I'm trying to get unlocked

If it's a former Vonage Cisco ATA 186, the _only_ way to get it
unlocked will be if the account still exists (even if deactivated).
In that case, have the original account owner log in and transfer
the account to you. You can then put in a credit card, call up
customer service, and for the small fee of $15 they will arrange
to have the device unlock itself the next time (within 24 hours)
you connect it to the network. You must leave it connected for
long enough for it to download a new set of parameters, and then
use the FACTRESET procedure from an attached telephone.

There is otherwise NO WAY. Well, if you figure one out, I'll be
amazed. I have a Cisco support contract, and I asked the question
"what do I do if I accidentally disable reset and forget the password"
and the answer was "send it in for a replacement."

>I know of NO ATA that can have 2 hosts for ONE port

There actually are a couple, including the Sipura, which will
allow registration with multiple providers, and have enough smarts
in the dialplan to send the call to different providers depending
on what is dialled.

And there are some, such as the Cisco ATA 186, that require both
ports go to the same provider with different user names.

>I was also able to get a Cisco MC3810 working with my system

I've got an offer (and received a counter-offer) for one of the
remaining MC3810s on Ebay. These look pretty cool, and I've got
another day to decide whether to accept the counter-offer or not.
There are still a lot left.

>The 1750 is definitely quieter

Are you referring to call quality or to fan noise from the device
itself?

You gave a detailed example of how to set up the 1750. Have you
got a similar example for the MC3810?

Thanks/john
