I've implemented the tweaks that were recommended by Kirt. I'll stress test
the switch tomorrow and report back.

Read additional postings by Kurt and you will see he has found a deeper
problem
Irregular timing between PULSES within a given digit.
The Echo cancel "feature" seems responsible for the wait before the last
digit.
