Subject: [VoIP] It's Alive
Yo. Guys,
With many hours of help from John Novack & John Jones. I finally have my *
box up & runnin. I'm using a Cisco 8010 and a Pentium 4 Linux box. John J
did all the work with the Cisco box and I used a cloned harddrive from John
N. So, at this point in time I really don't know a whole lot re how it
works. Doug Alderdice was kind enough to send me a plethora of info on *
in hope that I may somday figure out what the Johns have been doing.
@ this point I'm a manual office. Two lines are connected to a WE 555
switchboard. I usually keep 279-2275 routed through the 555 in the cellar
to various upstairs phones.
I have pretty much all the makings for my switch. I have four connectors
moving, and that's about it. I reckon now that I'm connected to CNET I'll
finally get on the stick with the switch. On of the things I need to get
rolling is a coupla of transformers to get the progress tones into the
linefinders. Anybody know where I can find such beasts?
Regards, Dave Heimer in Greensboro GA
