[VoIP] Additional Asterisk Features

Something I've wondered about is using the additional features which are 
available with 
Asterisk, such as music-on-hold and voicemail. I'm just curious to know if 
anyone has 
successfully implemented extra things via the * box on their phone switches, 
beyond 
using * as a trunking system. What things would be feasible (depending on 
how well a 
particular switch lends itself to the task...)? This is admittedly a broad 
question, so I'm 
mainly interested in knowing what extras other people's setups might 
include.
