Hmmm
That's an interesting idea, are those the GE latching relay?  I take it
a short pulse then reset on the selector?

A GE low voltage remote control system coupled with a modified connector

connected to a spare selector level also works quite well.

(Of course, it helps to have a house that's already wired with the low 
voltage control system.)
