John's right.
Unless you are either bored or want something that is part of 1.4, I'd
stay with 1.2.
If your dialplan stuff is written correctly for 1.2, it should be find for 1.4
Exceptions would be for commands which are deprecated in 1.2 and
removed from 1.4 which are listed in the release notes.
I'm curious if anyone's tried AstLinux. It's one of those things that
installs Linux and Asterisk all at once. You can even run it from a
CDRom and store all of your settings on a USB Drive.
