Unfortunately, the only cheap card for Asterisk is the X100P clone that
provides one FXO port. There are the Openvox cards, like the A400P,
which is basically a clone of the Digium TDM400P. I have no idea how
well they work.

The Openvox cards are available through pbxeq.com; they want $257.95 for
an A400P with 2 FXS and 2 FXO ports, or $253.95 for 3 FXS and 1 FXO, or
$249.95 for 4 FXS ports.

By comparison, a genuine Digium TDM22B (TDM400P with 2 FXS and 2 FXO)
through Telephonyware is $360.90, TDM31B (3 FXS with 1 FXO) is $351.90,
and TDM40B (4 FXS) is $342.90.

The A400P and TDM400P can be bought with only one module; the Digium
card with a single FXS and no other ports is $140.40 at Telephonyware.
The corresponding Openvox card at pbxeq.com is $92.95.
