The only thing I've managed to do so far is get Asteriskwin32.com's version of the software, and I've been toying around with the extensions.cfg and sip & iax.cfg files to get a better understanding of how to set up trunks and lines, only to find my efforts were in vain: I couldn't even get an extension "81" to dial into FWD to dial my '547881' number I've got on a phone on my Sipura SPA-2002. I did however manage to set up the Sipura's 2nd FXS port to access my asteriskwin32

After THAT, I believe the fun begins, as it was like "back in the day".

Someone recently turned me on to AstLinux
Currently, I have it up and running on a thin client HP 5520 with 64 Meg
Flash and 128 Meg memory.
The documentation is thin ( no pun intended ), and I had a little
trouble getting it into the flash. Also the liveCD doesn't boot properly
from a CD rom. Neat thing about these is that with a proper cable, you
can remove the flash and plug in a 2.5 HD and run with that. No fan, but
one moving part!
This met with success just in time, as my usual Asterisk box is sick and
I have yet to do anything more than turn it off. I haven't even pulled
it out of the rack
Perhaps with slightly different hardware, or boot and run from a USB pen
drive you can get up and running enough to make and even receive calls.

My time is scarce right now, but if you want more information, contact
me off list.
