Actually, no I didn't. I don't even have any blue box gear. Never was
anything I was "into." I called Wawina once, heard the 2600 cheep and that
was it.
There's also a huge difference between "playing" with a real CO and a CNET
switch: the real EM switches on CNET likely have little to no "interesting"
things to find on them, and with the power of Asterisk in front of them,
anything that would be considered fun or interesting blocks access for CNET
callers. Also, at least in the case of my own switch, 50%-60% of the
dialable lines on the switch -- last I knew it's in the switch info on the
411 page for my tandem that 366-32XX numbers are on the switch -- actually
go to a phone or switchboard or other answerable device in the house, again
highlighting the rude factor for dialing nonpublished switch numbers in the
middle of the night.
A little common courtesy in calling others' systems goes a long way.
