Jason,

I just fired up XP on my laptop -- if I bring up a command prompt window 
I see long filenames without any problem.  One guess would be that the 
pk(un)zip that you are using is somehow to blame -- I don't think 
there's any magic setting for XP to fix this.

Are you seeing this problem with any programs other than pkzip?
