It might be possible to set up something with a conference bridge that's 
reserved for your continuous audio source.  Asterisk does support using 
a sound card (the console channel), so you could use an Asterisk Manager 
  Interface app to connect the console to the conference bridge.

You could also use a different channel type (e.g. Zap or SIP) for the 
audio source.

Depending on how you set up the conference, you could make your 
recording talkable...
