At the end of your [Aulocal] context and the [fromcnet] context, there
should be the following -
exten => _X.,1,Macro(AUNUtone)
exten => _X,1,Macro(AUNUtone)
That should give you the correct tone for any 'not allocated' digits from
one digit to x digits that has not been matched anywhere.
Only put them at the end of those two contexts, as anything not matched in
your other contexts should have ended up already in one of those two
contexts. If you put them elsewhere, your other contexts may/will not work
correctly.
The above may not make sense to our friends in the US but it is the way we
end up with the correct period tones used in Au, NZ or UK.
Note that the above gives the correct Australian tones rather than
unrealistic recorded messages/ US fast busy as per the normal Asterisk
setup. Despite setting the Asterisk up for Australia, you'll find you end
up with incorrect tones for the period that we are reproducing with CNET.
It certainly happens when we set an Asterisk up for 'UK' that we still get
unrealistic tones/announcements that would have appeared in the early days
of STD. The range of little macros solves the problem.
