[VoIP] ENUM (Linux DNS) and Linksys WRT54GS

Brian,
I would not consider this a DHCP issue. I had hard coded all IP addressing
information in to the Linux (CentOS 4.5) box. When using Firefox on the
Linux box, all DNS queries were resolved properly. For some reason Asterisk
could not resolve to the ENUM server. I would see the request made, but
ultimately time out. I had made the Linux default gateway the router, as
I do on my Windoooz pc. It was odd that I had to put Comcast's DNS in to
Linux in order for DNS to resolve. I do obtain my router address and other
ISP settings via DHCP but everything else on my network is hard coded. I
use no-ip.com to resolve my dynamic ISP IP address to my router so I can be
part of CNET. This problem also plagued me on Centos 3.8.

Lee,
Interesting, I presume this must be something to do with DHCP. My router
IP address is set as the DNS server IP address in all my devices and I
have had no problems but then my ISP IP address is fixed. To be honest I
don't think it would be a problem if I had a DHCP ISP IP address as long
as I used DynDNS or other service because my router can work with that too.
