Hi All,
Just an update to say I now have a asterisk tandem up and running with
CNET.
As you may recall I was having a few troubles with the ENUM service.
I fixed my issues by :-
* Backing up my config (extensions, iax, sip, voice mail, enum, zaptel,
zapata) conf files
* Formatting system and installing bare bones Centos 5.1 system. (you
need cd's 1, 3 and 4)
* Installed latest 1.4.17 asterisk and related install files
Today I had quite a lengthy call with Ian "mastermind" Jolly who helped
me through the setup of the configs files to start with. I have a couple
of numbers setup so far but am yet to advertise them.
My systems include the following
* Dlink DSL-G04T ADSL Modem connected to Exetel (Australian ISP)
* AMD Athlon based x86 computer with Centos 5.1 (minimal install with
text based GUI)
* Digium TDM400P PCI Telephony card with 1x FXO port and 1x FXS port.
* SJ Phone SIP PC Phone
* A number of Australian issued telephones including various STC/AWA
800 Series Telephones, 137 Type, 300 Series Bakelite (poor condition)
I hope to obtain an old Strowger switch or Crossbar switch as would have
been used in Australia before digitalisation, but I am not sure where to
look for such equipment.
If anyone is up for a conversation to an Aussie please let me know.
Richard
